The British technology company Nothing has launched its third smartphone, the Nothing Phone 2a, in India as well as in global markets. This phone features a 50MP dual camera setup and a 10-bit flexible AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Like its predecessors, the Nothing Phone 1 and Phone 2, this model also boasts a transparent back panel. It is Nothing’s most affordable smartphone to date, with a starting price of ₹23,999.
Price and Availability
The company has introduced the new smartphone in three different storage variants. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at ₹23,999, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is available for ₹25,999. The top-tier configuration, which includes 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, is priced at ₹27,999.
Buyers can purchase the phone starting March 12 from the company’s official website and major e-commerce websites. On this day, the phone will be available on Flipkart for just ₹19,999 as part of a special offer.
Design
The Phone 2a features a unique design with a distinctive horizontal camera module on the back panel, accompanied by an LED flash. Additionally, there are three small LED strip lights on the back, setting it apart from other mobiles.
The phone also includes a Glyph Interface. Similar to the back, there is a red-colored square spot on the phone. The front panel of the device has a flat panel, and the bezels are very thin, equipped with a punch-hole cutout.
Specifications
The Nothing Phone 2a boasts an impressive display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 6.7-inch 10-bit flexible AMOLED display, offering a brightness of 1300 nits.
The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor, which provides excellent performance. Out-of-the-box, you’ll get Android 14 based Nothing OS 2.5 custom skin.
In terms of cameras, the phone has a dual camera setup, including a 50MP primary camera and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera. There is also a 32MP camera for selfies and video calling.
As for the battery, the phone comes with a 5000mAh battery supported by 45W fast charging, providing a robust power backup.
Other connectivity options include 5G, 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C charging port.
